The stand should be wide enough to stay upright when holding all tools. Look for a base with a diameter of at least 8 inches. A wobbly stand is frustrating and potentially dangerous.
Handle Length
For safety, the poker should be at least 26 inches long. This keeps your hand far enough from the flames. If you have a deep fireplace, look for a 30-inch or longer set.
Take the time to choose a set that matches your fireplace, your decor, and your needs. A quality tool set will last for decades.
